Prices unveiled for CL final

The cheapest tickets for the 2012 Champions League final will cost around £75, including a booking fee at current exchange rates.

Pique: Holds off Rooney in last year's final

UEFA were criticised for their pricing policy for last year's final at Wembley, where the cheapest general sale tickets cost £150 plus a booking fee, and adult and child 'youth packages' cost £338.
Michel Platini, the president of UEFA, was moved to apologise for the 2011 pricing structure and described it as "a mistake".
The cheapest tickets for last year's final cost £80 plus a booking fee and were only available through the finalist clubs, Barcelona and Manchester United.
On Thursday, UEFA revealed the prices for the 2012 showpiece match, to be played in Munich on Saturday, May 19, with the cheapest category-four tickets costing 70 euros with an additional 20 euro booking and shipping fee if purchased from the UK. These will be available on general sale as well as to supporters of the finalists and in total there will be 13,000 category-four tickets on sale.
The cost of the youth package has been reduced to 140 euros (just under £117) plus a booking fee, and comprises two category-two tickets for a child accompanied by an adult which would retail separately at 260 euros each (almost £217). Two hundred of the packages will be available through general sale, with a further 100 each distributed to the finalists.
UEFA said the pricing structure had been finalised in consultation with Football Supporters Europe.
Seven thousand tickets for general international sale became available from 11am GMT today and applications are limited to a maximum of two tickets. Applicants will find out if they have been successful in the ballot by email on April 2.
A further 35,000 tickets will be distributed equally between the two clubs who reach the final for sale to their supporters, with the remaining 20,500 tickets for the Allianz Arena to be distributed between the local organising committee, UEFA's 53 member associations and commercial and broadcast partners.
Kevin Miles, the chair of Football Supporters Europe, revealed that they had convinced UEFA to reduce the price of category-four tickets from the level originally proposed by suggesting an increase in the top-priced category-one tickets.
They also managed to secure a number of the category-four tickets in the lower sections at the two ends of the stadium, arguing that that would be where most partisan supporters would traditionally choose to go rather than the higher tiers.
Miles, who anticipated that the majority of the category-four tickets would primarily still go to the two finalists, said: "What was nice about it was they didn't just ask our opinion, they acted on the things that we said and took them on board."
Malcolm Clarke, the chair of the Football Supporters Federation, described the pricing as a "step in the right direction".
"It still means that a lot of the tickets will be at a very dear price particularly when you add in the cost of fans travelling, but let's give UEFA some praise," he said.
"It's a step in the right direction, but not the end of the journey."
Clarke did, however, feel the allocation of almost a third of tickets to sponsors and associations was still too great a proportion of the total.
He added: "What we have seen in the past is that the tickets that end up on the black market tend to come from this sector very often, which means they (UEFA) have made available a ticket to someone who is more interested in making money than watching football, so that would be a concern."
Miles defended the proportion of corporate tickets, saying: "We made representations but we have to accept the reality of modern football. If you look at what a number of member associations of UEFA do with their own corporate tickets, for the Champions League final this is relatively modest. Even the cheapest price is expensive compared to a normal Bundesliga ticket, but this is the Champions League final."
